  1. Did a little experiment with a macro hack for a DSLR - using a zoom lens and a second lens held turned-around in front of it. 

    This is the stinger from a bee. The poor little thing stung my jeans and missed me altogether. So I kept the stinger to have a closer look.

    In the first pic the stinger is surrounded by some sort of protective sack of tissue. In the second pic I moved the tissue away and mounted the stinger on the pointy end of a dress makers pin, which is the metal thing you can see.

    That is one very sharp bee stinger
